The Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA) and GreenTomato Academy (GTA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote continuous talent training and development in the design industry



The Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA) and GreenTomato Academy (GTA) are pleased to announce the signing of a collaboration memorandum of understanding (MOU) to usher in a new era of design education in Hong Kong and the surrounding regions. This partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both parties to provide high-quality training programs, enhance the accessibility of design education, and foster a thriving design ecosystem.

 

The MOU was signed by Ms. Mui Kinoshita, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Designers Association, and Mr. Stephen Wong, Director of GreenTomato Academy. This milestone signifies the collaborative efforts of the HKDA and GTA, and the two organisations will work closely together to achieve the following objectives:




Provide quality training programs: The HKDA and GTA will collaborate to develop and offer training courses that cater to the evolving needs of design professionals in Hong Kong. These courses will provide designers with valuable insights, practical skills, and industry-relevant knowledge to enhance their capabilities.

 

Promote the accessibility of design education: Through joint advocacy, the HKDA and GTA will strive to enhance the accessibility of design education in Hong Kong. Leveraging their extensive networks and abundant resources, the two organisations aim to reach a broader audience, including aspiring designers, students, and professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.

 

Cultivate a vibrant design ecosystem: The HKDA and GTA are committed to establishing a dynamic and inclusive design ecosystem in Hong Kong and the surrounding areas. Through organised training programs, seminars, and collaborative activities, this partnership will encourage knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation, driving the growth and international recognition of the design community.
