UX UI Design Fundamentals
Digitalisation is changing the way we interact with products and platforms. As a result, there is a high demand for UX UI designers who are responsible for creating user-centered designs. This six-week course offers a comprehensive introduction to the field of UI/UX design, providing participants with the foundational skills and hands-on experience needed to succeed in this field.
Through a combination of structured learning and hands-on projects using Figma, participants will develop a strong understanding of design concepts and technical skills that can be applied in their future careers as UX UI designers. This course is suitable for those who are new to the field or looking to refresh their knowledge of design principles and techniques.
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:
Understand the role and responsibilities of a UX UI designer, including the tools and processes used in the industry
Use Figma, a popular design tool in the UX UI industry, to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
Demonstrate basic design skills and the ability to complete an end-to-end design project
Develop skills in user experience and user interface design principles and techniques

There are no prerequisites for this course, and no prior design experience is necessary.
Participants will need access to a Mac or PC with an internet connection and should download Figma, a free design tool that will be used in the course. We recommend downloading the desktop application for the best experience.
The course will culminate in a high fidelity design project on a specific topic that will be provided in class. This project will serve as the assessment for the course.
Completion certificates will be issued to participants who satisfy the following requirements:
1) Attendance of at least 5 of the 6 course lessons;
2) A Pass in the final course assessment
Complete an end-to-end design project that will allow participants to apply skills covered in each unit of the course.
